Dr. Mohamed Bahr

Project Director & Chair of Khadija Charitable Trust

I was born and trained in Egypt, finished medical school 1986 then did a cardiology degree and straight after moved to Dubai for few years then came to New Zealand to work in Waikato hospital, then moved to become a general practitioner. I enjoy medicine, my hobbies are swimming and nature, I also enjoy hiking and reading. I'm a father of 6 children and 4 grandchildren.

Dr. Gohar Khan

Digital Assets Lead

I am an academic by profession with more than 15 years of experience in digital technologies teaching, consultancy, and research working with multicultural teams. Currently, I am a senior in the digital business at Waikato Management School where I teach and research digital technologies. I have work experience in multi-cultural settings and have closely observed different cultures (e.g., Western and Asian cultures) in countries such as Afghanistan, Pakistan, South Korea, Australia, and New Zealand.

Hossam Elwakil

Event Management Lead

Hossam is a mechanical engineer with over 20 years of project management experience. He brings to the team a wealth of knowledge in the essential areas of project integration, planning, and risk management. Originally from Egypt, he moved to New Zealand in 2002 with his wife and two sons, who are currently studying at the Waikato and Auckland universities.

Public Relations & Communications Lead

Chemical engineer, passionate about community development works and believes that effective da'wah is won through serving others, leaving the community in a better environment than how he entered it. Born and raised in Bangladesh, moved to Hamilton in 2018. Involved with different community organizations i.e. TEDxRuakura, Go Eco, English Language Partners based in Hamilton.
